Melanie Dowding (they/she) earned their BA in Studio Arts and English with a concentration in printmaking in May of 2022 from Hamline University, and is in the MFA program at Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Their work is autobiographical, incorporating elements of journal writings, thematic motifs, and illustrations. They are currently introducing textiles into their work as an experiment rooted in women's traditions, with materials including fabric and hand-knit/hand-crocheted surfaces.
